Joel is the Fintech Lead and Chief Research Officer (CRO) at TriOn & Co. He is focused on helping clients anticipate the ever-changing future to build business resilience and agility through trusted insights.
Joel comes with extensive experience leading strategic communications initiatives in the finance and technology space – working with organisations primarily in the Web3, blockchain and finance industry.
He was previously from Redhill and built an entire fintech PR practice from ground up – onboarding clients in the fintech space, while developing his team’s capabilities to service technical Web3 and crypto accounts.
Joel’s expertise also lies in creating frameworks for public listings, go-to-market strategies for global business expansion and crisis communications – having counselled clients during global crises such as the disappearance of MH370, the mass recall of Takata airbags and the Volkswagen emissions scandal.
Before Redhill, Joel worked at Wachsman where he focused exclusively on clients in the Web3 space. His job scope went beyond traditional communications and touched on management consulting and strategic advisory. Prior to that, he worked at RICE Singapore before relocating to Beijing and Hong Kong to support the company’s overseas expansion into Greater China.
