The PRCA APAC Future Leader Award 2022 celebrates the most talented and inspiring future leaders studying or working in marketing, PR and communications. It will look at thought leadership, writing, and forethought.
The award will see young participants challenged to write a thought-provoking essay on the PR and communications industry.

Sustainability has emerged a strong area of focus for corporates, brands and governments alike. However, there is much debate on the authenticity of sustainability efforts and commitments, and whether these are mere tactics to improve reputation or align with the “flavour of the moment”. The debate is further fuelled by the numerous scandals and issues including Coca-Cola sponsoring COP27, H&M being called out for misguiding consumers with their eco-friendly claims, ivory-washing by beauty brands and so many more such incidents.
What role do in-house and agency professionals play in sustainability communications? Does the burden of ensuring authenticity fall on the communications team?

Pricing for members is 275 SGD for members and 375 SGD for non-members per person

The winner will be decided by a judging panel and awarded the Future Leader Award Trophy, along with a S$500 bursary.
The APAC competition will take place over 5 days during working days: Monday, 24th October 2022 – Monday, 31st October, 2022, 18:00.
Completed essays should be emailed back to the PRCA APAC team by Monday, 31st October, 2022, 18:00. and should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Essays will then be marked by an APAC Jury.
The winner will be notified by 17th November, 2022.
APAC competition rules
- You must be based in Asia Pacific
- Anyone aged 30 or under may enter an essay on the chosen question
- Each essay may be up to 1,000 words long
- Entries will be judged on their demonstration of intelligence, and the forward-looking viewpoints that are displayed
- Open to all Marketing, PR and Communications students and professionals
- More than one individual from the same company can enter
