ABOUT THE ROLE

A leading strategic communications and corporate affairs advisory firm is currently seeking a talented Director to join its team in Hong Kong. This role will serve as a deputy to the Managing Director. With a renowned reputation in corporate communications, corporate & public affairs, financial communications and advisory, this firm has a growing presence across the globe. By leveraging strong data and insights, the firm prides themselves in providing and can provide excellent career opportunities to work with large tier one firms across the region.

The ideal candidate should have experience within communications and have established themselves as a thought leader across hot button-issues such as, tech trends, capital markets, ESG, and financial trends etc. In addition, the applicant should have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with a commercial mindset, knowing how to hunt “new business” and “farm” existing clients, in addition to providing communications and brand advisory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as deputy to the Managing Director
  •  Lead client development and new business initiatives for corporate, tech and fin-tech clients
  • Serve as day-to-day contact for some of the firm’s largest clients in local and regional markets
  • Manage team leads on client projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables
  • Advise clients on critical issues, brand reputation and challenging financial situations
  • Create innovative communication strategies and plans to drive client business growth

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

  • University degree
  • Minimum 10-15 + years of experience in corporate and public affairs communications, ideally with-in a consulting setting
  • Experience working with clients in tech, financial services, crypto, corporate communications
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to think and write creatively and strategically
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Traditional Chinese
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative spirit
