Format: This training will be carried out online in a webinar setting. Attendees will not be able to have their laptops, camera, and microphones on during the session.
If a webinar begins after 20:00, PRCA APAC will send you a copy of the webinar recording within 24-48 hours.
Poets, artists, and historians – let alone psychologists such as Freud and Jung – have appreciated the role of emotions for millennia. Yet in the last quarter of a century, neuroscientists have been able to prove – and explore – what their predecessors could only surmise: that it’s emotion, not reason, that drives much of life.
There could not be a more important topic for PR practitioners. For emotions influence not only how we feel, but what we believe and how we behave.
The webinar offers a state of the art introduction to:
- what emotions are
- how they evolved
- the role they play today
- how they affect understanding
- how they affect decisions
- the day to day relevance to PR practitioners
- how to take account of emotions in our work
- the ethics of harnessing emotions
There is an opportunity to ask Q&A at the end of the webinar.
Who should attend
Anyone who needs to communicate in a memorable, persuasive, and compelling way. The webinar is particularly relevant to those writing press releases, case studies, blog posts, articles, social media posts.
