SEOUL, 05 February 2024 – Weber Shandwick, the earned-first global communications agency, today, announced the appointment of Claudia Hong as Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs, South Korea.

In this strategic role, Hong will play a pivotal part in shaping and driving corporate and public affairs strategies aligned with organisational goals in the dynamic South Korean market.

Reporting to Elizabeth Bae, Managing Director, Weber Shandwick Korea, Hong will work closely with the team in advising key multinational corporation (MNC) clients both Korea and foreign headquartered, on communication strategies and reputation management. She will work closely with clients to provide strategic counsel to the C-Suite in holistically looking at a company’s stakeholder audiences to shape effective corporate messaging. In addition, Claudia will provide expert counsel on regulatory matters and support communications throughout issues and crises as well as other corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions.

Hong brings a rich background to Weber Shandwick with experience from her previous roles, most recently having served as Senior Foreign Attorney & Director of Business Development at Shin & Kim prior to which, she held positions at Kim & Chang, BNY Mellon, the U.S. Department of the Treasury in addition to experience at Weber Shandwick in New York, among others.
