Position: Brand and Communications Associate, ASEAN

Location: Singapore. With potential frequent travel to other Vero offices across ASEAN (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar).


  • As the agency’s first hire in Singapore, you will be given latitude in the development of the firm’s local communications footprint.
  • Support the agency’s own local and regional PR activities including proactive media outreach, media interviews, announcements, award nominations, securing speaking engagements, organizing seminars and webinars, and podcast opportunities for our company spokespeople in APAC.
  • Work closely with regional marketing teams to support local announcements and liaising with external teams and business units for PR campaigns and announcements
  • Contribute to new PR campaigns and amplify existing campaigns
  • Establish and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists in APAC
  • Proactive pitching, reactive media handling and active media monitoring
  • Engagement with organizations relevant to the PR, Creative, Digital Marketing Industry, such as but not limited to PRCA, Campaign Asia, Provoke, Marketing-Interactive


  • Be strategic, well-rounded PR and Corporate Communications (internal & external) leader with ability to translate the firm’s vision and strategy into branding and PR initiatives.
  • Strong media network, ability to develop optimal media strategies and PR programs for the firm.
  • Deep expertise in brand reputation management, brand refresh and leadership branding.
  • Be able to alert management team with key trends, pre-empt potential risks and best in class practices as the firm’s PR, Branding and Communications strategy takes shape.
  • Strong learning agility, nimble, commercially sharp leader and be able to quickly grasp the firm’s uniqueness, ongoing developments and multipronged business model, act as sparring partner to C-Suite and the Senior Management Team.
  • Understanding of the agency and client landscape in Singapore, with an emphasis on understanding clients with regional or global businesses.
  • Creative, strong branding and marketing expertise and track record, ability to develop differentiated and impactful narratives, elevate the firm’s brand image and align internal and external communications.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands on, comfortable with ambiguity, ability to build the firm’s PR and Communications capabilities from scratch.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, strong understanding and appreciation of multiple cultures and modes of business operations.
  • Impeccable integrity and market reputation that can be referenced

  • Health Insurance: The Company will provide private medical insurance as a benefit. The actual package and structure of the insurance may be determined by the Company and at its sole discretion.
  • Mental Health Budget: We understand the importance of access to proper mental health support, all our employees can access a minimum budget of $500 USD per year for therapy with internationally trained psychologists. The access to this budget and the content of your therapy are 100% confidential, only you and your therapist know what is being said during sessions, of course.
  • Maternity & Paternity Leave: 6 Months of paid maternity leave and 1 month of paid paternity leave.  Eligibility commences after 1 year of service with Vero.
