Katharina Wolf is an Associate Professor in the School of Management and Marketing at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia, and Lead of the Faculty of Business and Law’s public relations program.
Katharina draws on more than twenty-five years of communication and media experience, as an educator and industry professional. Her industry experience encompasses communication and research roles in Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom and Australia.
Katharina is a strong believer in the power of education, to address her personal curiosity and commitment to continuous professional – and personal – development, but also as a transformative tool for future generations of communicators and indeed change agents.
Originally trained as a publishing manager, her outlook on life has been shaped by a deeply engrained passion for books and magazines, and an appreciation for the gift of education – driven by a desire to question, explore and understand.
Katharina’s work has been recognised with a range of local, national and international awards, both for teaching and research contributions. Sustainability communication has evolved into an area of passion, both in terms of personal development, as well as in relation to student projects and learning content.
Katharina has recently completed the CIPR Specialist Diploma Sustainability Communications and is currently working on a funded project that explores the role of students as co-creators of sustainability messaging as part of a client-centred project.
