About Serina Tan
Serina Tan, Founder and Managing Director of Brewer Consulting, is an established communications leader, practitioner and trainer. With two decades of experience in integrated communications consulting, Serina has a proven track record in leading multi award-winning communication programmes in Asia Pacific.
In 2019, she was recognised by Campaign Asia Pacific’s 40 under 40 for her impressive achievements.
Prior to Brewer, Serina was APAC Managing Director and Singapore General Manager at global agency Allison+Partners. Under her leadership, the Singapore office she founded enjoyed rapid growth and high performance. It won multiple awards, and became an important global centre of excellence. As APAC Managing Director, she was a strategic bridge for global leadership across APAC, the US and Europe. She led 150 communications professionals regionally in operations and client integration. She was also chairperson for the region’s Women Leadership Programme.
As a communications trainer, Serina is experienced with training communications professionals in a wide range of topics ranging from emotional and data storytelling, integrated communications, employee communications, media training, issues & crisis planning/management, as well as leading with mindfulness and compassion.
A mental health advocate and speaker, Serina has been an executive speaker on various leading mental wellbeing conferences, including This Can Happen 2022 and Mediacorp Executive Insights on Mental Resilience. She holds certificates in Positive Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as the University of North Carolina. She also has a certificate in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from Singapore Management University.
Based in Singapore, Serina has also lived in Malaysia and Japan. She is trilingual in English, Chinese and Japanese, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore.
