PRCA APAC Welcomes Duke-NUS as First Member from Singapore’s Medical Education & Research Sector 

Milestone underscores the role of strategic communications in advancing healthcare innovation 

Singapore, 28 August 2025The Public Relations and Communications Association Asia-Pacific (PRCA APAC) is proud to welcome Duke-NUS Medical School as its newest organisational member, marking a significant expansion of the association’s footprint into Singapore’s medical education and research sector.  

Born from a pioneering partnership between Duke University in the US and the National University of Singapore (NUS), Duke-NUS stands as a beacon of excellence in medical education, research, and practice. As Singapore’s only graduate-entry medical school, it is dedicated to nurturing clinical innovators and leaders equipped to navigate the complex landscape of global healthcare. 

Anirudh Sharma, Director and Assistant Dean, Communications and Strategic Relations, Duke-NUS Medical School, said: “At Duke-NUS, we use purposeful communication to connect science with society. Joining PRCA strengthens our commitment to meaningful and credible storytelling. Through our association, we’ll benchmark against international standards, share what we learn, and model evidence-based communications that move discovery into care for Singapore and the region.” 

The school’s membership comes at a time when medical education and research are playing an increasingly vital role in addressing regional and global health challenges. With its world-class faculty, innovative curriculum, and state-of-the-art research facilities, Duke-NUS fosters a culture of innovation, excellence, and compassion – shaping the next generation of healthcare leaders while punching above its weight in improving lives through groundbreaking research.
