Head of Strategy at AKA Asia
Jenna Mills leads the strategy and planning team at AKA Asia, a creative communications agency in Singapore. She has over 13 years of experience in PR and communications at agencies in Singapore and London, developing brand strategy and earned-first campaigns at local, regional and global levels.
At AKA Asia, Jenna champions the power of fearlessly creative thinking to drive real business impact for clients across a wide range of sectors, from travel and tourism to healthcare and finance. She is obsessed with finding the business problem underneath the communications challenges facing clients today to sharpen briefs and deliver bold, brave ideas that can earn people’s attention.
Jenna started her career as a copywriter before moving into public relations. From fashion shoots and red carpet events to community management and crisis comms, she combines her integrated background and breadth of experience to craft powerful brand stories, leveraging the right channel mix to maximise engagement and create the most meaningful impact for the brand.
She joined AKA Asia in 2015, leading the consumer PR work for Jetstar and helped the brand to win over 30 industry awards across seven separate campaigns. From 2019-2021, she worked as Associate Business Director at One Green Bean London, leading on global and European comms strategy for brands including Costa Coffee, Durex, Nestle, Molson Coors Brewing Company and Virgin Group. Here, she spearheaded a three-year campaign for Britain’s Beer Alliance, bringing together hundreds of internal stakeholders from the brewing, hospitality and retail sectors to petition the government for a reduction in beer duty.
In 2021 Jenna relocated to the Caribbean, rejoining AKA Asia to lead their Planning team remotely. Her focus is helping the team to identify razor-sharp insights and strategic thinking to bring AKA’s brand of fearless creativity to life and make every single campaign as effective as possible.
