Singapore-headquartered Communications Agency Redhill accelerates global expansion into the UK with Senior Appointment

This key leadership appointment will strengthen Redhill’s ability to provide innovative, integrated communications solutions to both local and global clients seeking to enter and/or expand within and beyond the UK.

SINGAPORE, 20 October 2022 – Redhill, one of the fastest-growing full-service global communications agencies, has today announced the expansion of its operations into the UK market with the appointment of Loriann Luckings-Marwood as its Director of UK. Based in London and working closely with the Redhill global leadership team, Loriann will focus on establishing the UK market, driving local expertise and cross-market collaboration to orchestrate broader capabilities for clients and accelerate business growth in addition to hiring new talent.

As one of the fastest-growing global communications agencies, Redhill’s goal is to empower and provide brands with innovative integrated communication solutions to drive growth, build reputation and protect against risk. Through establishing our presence in the UK and by tapping into the expertise of our global network, Redhill’s aim is to provide local clients with strategic communications solutions to enter new markets and expand their global footprint and global clients to enter and deepen their market presence in the UK. Within the first month of its operations (September 2022), Redhill has secured The Powder Shampoo as its first client along with a number of projects and new business opportunities in the pipeline that are expected to materialise later this quarter.

“The decision to expand into the UK was the next logical step in our global business growth strategy. By establishing our presence in the UK, we are now better able to service local marketers and welcome global and regional brands and clients to the UK. We could not be more pleased to have Loriann join our team. Her extensive experience, deep technical expertise, excellent understanding of the UK market and local market relationships with stakeholders and the media will be instrumental in providing the highest level of service to our clients seeking integrated communication solutions,” said Jacob Puthenparambil, CEO, Redhill.

With nearly two decades experience in the communications industry, Loriann has established a strong track record in planning, leading, and executing integrated communications strategies. She specialises in retail and consumer brand communications, and throughout her career, has delivered insight-informed integrated campaigns for renowned brands such as Microsoft, eBay, and the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK. Loriann began her career as an entertainment journalist and remained in the media industry for 10 years before transitioning to the public relations profession and working in some of the UK’s most well-known agencies.

“Loriann is not just a consummate public relations professional – she also knows the communications industry inside out and is deeply passionate about storytelling, which is a must in creating authentic connections and meaningful impact. She brings a wealth of experience from working with some of the biggest brands in the world, and her drive to create and connect in new, innovative ways is a perfect fit with the Redhill DNA. I believe that Redhill UK could not be in safer hands with Loriann at the helm, and I am excited to see it grow,” said Tavy Cussinel, Managing Director of Redhill. 2

“We are seeing agencies in the UK gravitate towards greater agility, seamless integration, and extensive diversity, and I believe Redhill shines in all three aspects as they are the pillars of our innovative communications offerings. We believe in being a true communications partner that knows and believes in the brands as much as their founders, and Redhill’s diverse resources and global capacity mean that we can cover all communications bases and multiple markets for our clients. It is a great honour to be entrusted with leading the UK operations and I am looking forward to the journey,” said Loriann Luckings-Marwood, Director of UK, Redhill.

“I congratulate Redhill on their expansion into the UK: the home of one of the largest and most vibrant media landscapes in the world.” said Natalie Black CBE, His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Asia Pacific, UK Department for International Trade.

Headquartered in Singapore, Redhill’s presence in the UK will be the agency’s 20th location in addition to having a presence across APAC (Singapore, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand, India, Greater China, Japan, Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Cambodia), the Middle East, Germany and the US, in line with Redhill’s objectives to expand its global footprint and expertise.

Redhill’s expansion into the UK comes a year after the agency expanded their business to the US and Middle East by opening offices in Washington D.C, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai to meet the increasing demand for global communication services in these markets by our multinational clients. Earlier this year, Redhill acquired Hong Kong-based Creative Consulting Group (CCG) to serve clients in Hong Kong and the Greater China region.

Redhill also acquired Singapore-based Vision Strategy Storytelling (“VS Story”) as part of the agency’s efforts to further strengthen its sustainability offerings, providing creative visual storytelling solutions centred around social impact and sustainability for the agency and its clients. Most recently, Redhill launched its Metaverse offering with Pixel Canvas, a leading US-based enterprise metaverse platform, to deliver interactive and immersive brand experiences for its clients and brands in the Metaverse. Earlier this year, Redhill established a new creative technology and design unit – Redhill Studio – that offers creative design, video and podcast production, and website and web application development. This is in addition to Redhill providing the entire suite of integrated communications solutions, including strategic counsel for public relations, digital narratives, crisis management, marketing, internal communications, and branding across industries and sectors.

Redhill was recently recognised as The Straits Times Singapore’s Fastest Growing Companies in 2022 and 2021 and The Financial Times High Growth Companies Asia Pacific 2022 and 2021 in addition to other top industry honours.
