Weber Shandwick Strengthens Leadership and Capabilities in China and Across APAC

Singapore, 13 October 2025 – Weber Shandwick, the earned-first global communications agency, today announced a series of leadership and capability updates designed to strengthen its business in China and across the Asia Pacific, reflecting the firm’s continued investment in growth sectors and client priorities.
Effective immediately, Corbin Hsieh has been appointed Head of Weber Create and Consumer Practice, APAC. In this role, Hsieh will lead the expansion of Weber Create, the firm’s earned-first creative and integrated media offering that brings together influence and culture to help brands grow and stay relevant. Based in Shanghai, Hsieh will partner closely with market leaders across the region to scale creative capabilities and unlock new opportunities for clients.
Hsieh transitions from his role as Managing Director, China, where he navigated a challenging market environment while elevating both the firm’s people and its client work. When asked about this new role, Hsieh said, “My passion lies in the consumer side of business, where creativity and cultural understanding drive impactful work. To ensure strong leadership continuity in the market, Robert Magyar has been appointed Acting Managing Director, China, while continuing in his role as Executive Vice President, Head of Healthcare, APAC. Based in Beijing, Magyar brings over 20 years of business leadership experience, having led and managed profitable business units throughout his career while combining strategic acumen with hands-on operational insight. He has advised senior executives and industry leaders across China, Indonesia, Japan, Switzerland, and the U.S. Since rejoining Weber Shandwick more than a year ago, he has expanded the healthcare practice into one of the firm’s strongest growth pillars. In this dual role, Magyar will oversee the firm’s continued momentum in China and drive client growth across the market.
