Joanne Painter is Managing Director of icon.pr. She has more than 20 years’ experience in journalism, PR and digital engagement. Prior to founding icon.pr, Joanne was an award-winning print journalist and media commentator for News Limited and Fairfax. As a pioneer of digital PR in Australia Joanne leads a team of digital and social media experts skilled in designing and executing integrated PR and communication campaigns. Joanne consults on digital communications strategy, social media issues management, brand strategy, and corporate communications. Her clients have included ME Bank, ANZ, Schweppes, NSW Farmers, Advantedge/NAB Group, REIV, FKP/Aveo, Australand, Sustainability Victoria, EPA Victoria and VicRoads. Joanne has a BA (Hons) Degree and a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Melbourne. She sits on the Victorian Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) committee, is chairperson of the PRIA Victoria Registered Consultancies Group, and a member of the Australian Marketing Institute
