Akemi Ichise is President and CEO of Allison+Partners Tokyo, and is a recognized strategist with the expertise required to help Japanese and global clients drive value regionally and internationally. She also has a reputation as an excellent media and crisis trainer to her clients.
She co-founded Focused Communications Co., Ltd. in 2000 before it is acquired by Allison+Partners in 2016.
Before establishing Focused Communications, Akemi was Director at PRAP Japan, a major local PR agency after Vice President at Weber-Shandwick.
Akemi was the executive director and committee chairman of the International and Networking Committee of The Public Relations Society of Japan from June 2012 to June 2018.
Akemi holds BA of International Studies from Tsuda College.
