We are an award-winning independent communications agency, working with high-growth challenger technology companies seeking to expand their business within Asia Pacific. Within 18 months, we have established ourselves as APAC’s leading independent boutique agency, and are planning for our next phase of growth, to expand our regional (APAC) footprint and expand our integrated offering.

The Role

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Account Manager with a desire to help dynamic technology clients to make their mark on the world, and in doing so, help build Bud into the leading comms agency for challenger tech brands. We love what we do, so we’re looking for someone who genuinely loves their craft and has a passion for technology brands. We’re looking for someone with:

  • A keen interest and passion for B2B and B2C technology brands
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to craft engaging and informative copy.
  • At least 3-5 years experience in PR, journalism, and/or integrated marketing communications
  • Ability to foster brilliant relationships with media, senior clients and partner agencies.
  • Experience leading and managing teams, working with junior members to help develop their own capabilities.
  • Proven commercial experience managing accounts profitably, tracking timesheets and delivering projects within timeline and budget.

Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Strategic input: you will feed into client strategies and so will need a strong ability to draw on insights, data and wider research.
  • Team management: you will manage a team to effectively deliver excellent results for clients including effective utilization, profitability and scope.
  • Senior client management: Whilst you will be supported by the senior team, you will be responsible for managing senior client interactions on a day to day basis and so need to be someone who senior clients can depend on and look to for guidance.
  • Supporting the senior team to train, coach and manage junior members of the team.
  • Driving business growth through scaling existing client accounts and helping to identify and pitch for new business.
  • Copywriting skills: You need to be hot on spelling, grammar and proof-reading, as well as have a creative flair for producing engaging and intelligent copy.
  • Presentation skills: From communicating ideas to your team to presenting stories to journalists, you need to organise information in a succinct and interesting way to capture their attention.
  • Effective organisation and project management skills. You will play a critical role in ensuring we stay on track with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Media Expertise: You will be able to spot a news story, craft a media angle and run the press office elegantly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Whether it’s over the phone, by email or in person, at Bud we’re all about people, so you need to be approachable, friendly and empathetic, and be able to relate to people on different levels within the agency, with clients, partners and with the media.
  • Brilliant time and team management: You will often be working to tight media deadlines as well as meeting the demands and pressures of your team and clients, so you need to be able to work quickly and efficiently, without compromising on quality.
